Our Journey in The Golden Retriever World

Our journey into the golden retriever world began in 1997 when we were lucky enough to get our first golden puppy named Winston.  Winston was so sweet and loving that we decided to get another golden puppy who we named Lance one and one-half years later.  We started to show the dogs and loved the show world.

Several years later we got our 3rd male named Nasdaq.  He grew up to be this perfect golden that finished his AKC Championship at 2 ½ years old.  When he was 4 years old, we started thinking about adding a female into our family of dogs and began a search for the perfect female.

We again were lucky enough to have a friend recommend us to a breeder in California.  We flew to the wine country and picked up our little girl named Chablis.  When Chablis was 3 years old and had passed all her clearances, had no health issues and her temperament was like no other, we bred her to our Nasdaq.  Now we had to think of a kennel name.  We chose Nordic Goldens because I was born in Norway and thought it would be perfect.  This breeding produced 11 healthy puppies [pictures on the litter tab].

We made the decision to keep red collared girl in this litter.  We named her Sami.

The first part of 2008, we received a call about a litter that was Nasdaq's grandpuppies and would we like to come see them.  The grandmother of the litter was the 2002 Winner's Bitch at the Golden Retriever National in Orlando, FL.  She was bred to Nasdaq and produced some lovely puppies.  A female from that litter grew up and got her AKC Championship and had puppies.  This is when we got the call.  You guessed it, we named her Abby.

Our journey is continuing with our goldens.  They are part of our family along with our 2 Rescue Cats, Odin and Elsa.  They are loved, share our home and are very bonded to one another.

In memory of Winston, Lance, Chablis, and Nasdaq, who will always remain in our heart, we share our joy for goldens in the photos on this web site.  The pictures [I know there are so many] but pictures do speak a thousand words.

Thank you for taking the time to see our much loved family of dogs.
